Rebus

I love a good rebus. (something mom and I share) These are all Beatles songs.
I'd ask for guesses and then award prizes for who could get them all, but I think that would reveal how few people still read my blog.

Notecard robot

So I started drawing another small 3x5 story featuring my little lovelorn robot.
Chris and Kristin told me about the hollowed spot my previous drawings have in their home office and it inspired me.
Who knows if this will ever see the light of day (the light of blog?)
Anyway, here's a taste.

Join the party

This is what we all received at my final in National Security Policy. We spent a lot of time talking about the Cold War, Deterrence theory, and Mutually Assured Destruction so the instructor thought this was only appropriate.

One of the exclamations that you may not be able to read, "Beware the repressed Communist Party animal who is really a proletarian in denial masquerading as a bourgeois Cold War monger!"

I spent the next morning tracking down a case of this stuff to bring home to Josh. (Two liquor stores and one delightful specialty store later, success.)
And Joe Weston, if you still follow my blog, trust me I've tried to think of a way to send a bottle to you.

It should be noted that one thing I did not need after a pretty tumultuous finals week (and the week before) was more soda.

WiAC

So Chris and I have posted our Favorite Albums of 2009 list on WiAC. We're both pretty proud of it. Its got everything from our distaste of Christian Rock to how we'd like to be remembered after we die. So that means you should probably check it out. And since we've included songs from each of the albums you can experience what we've been experiencing sonically for the last year.
Let us know what you think, whether you agree or disagree (especially if you feel we've totally missed something great.)

And now back to my finals and papers...because a life without hardships...something something...sigh...

What if they had brought Poison with them too?

I went through all the past posts from the now defunct Logger Blogger.
There were some gems for sure.
Back in the early days I was more of an impulse blogger, putting up whatever was making me laugh at the time.
In Sunday School the teacher shared the story about seagulls saving the Utah pioneer's crops from crickets. I spent the next five minutes laughing.

What if instead of a flock of seagulls, God had sent a Flock of Seagulls?
That monument on Temple Square would be way more rockin' that's for sure.

Midterms

Dear Mom,

At least you know I'm eating well.

Love,
Your son.

Bearded ID

I got my Brigham Young ID in 2002. I got my CSUSB ID 7 years later.

Oh 2002 Logan, so young and fresh-faced. Little did you know that in a scant 7 years you would devolve to a man that you resemble in name alone. Not that 2009 Logan is complaining, he thinks he's actually pretty cool, with infinitely better taste in music. (I still can't believe I owned a Matchbox 20 CD)
